Alert, focused and unmistakably powerful, this peregrine falcon was created to capture the watchful character of one of Britain’s most impressive birds of prey.

Drawn by hand in coloured pencil, every detail has been carefully built up to bring out the intensity of the falcon’s expression, the markings through its feathers and that unmistakable sense of presence.

The original artwork was inspired by my love of British wildlife and the moments where you get the chance to stop and really take in the character of an animal.
